This is a wholly original and ingenious album that plays whimsical musical homage to the sweeping orchestral pop-rock arrangements of the popular 1970's rock group E.L.O L.E.O even rearranged the letters of their name to further note the contrast. At first glance, Alpacas Orgling plays like a melodic rock-opera that could have easily been penned by the ingenious collaborative efforts of David Bowie, Queen, E.L.O. and the Beatles. The latter two groups may have had the most influence on the album. One can not listen to Alpacas Orgling and not be reminded of the similar surreal kaleidoscope of sounds that makes up the Beatles classic, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band.
Alpacas Orgling doesn't just fall into the familiar sonic trappings of contemporary influences with its music; the album also sports strong vocals and well-penned lyrics.
