“All things modern.  You’ll cut
  your teeth on Christophe Pillet’s
  chic design style.”

I landed in Paris on Wednesday and immediately set my sights on conquering the City’s elite shopping district.  I heard so much about the Hotel Sezz, a cool boutique hotel that my friends kept raving about, that I decided to check in for a night and see what all the fuss was about.

My stay was divine.   The hotel is really cool.  The bathrooms are visible through a glass wall.   It’s so chic.  The staff was so accommodating.  You get assigned your own personal assistant. And the service is literally around the clock.  The staff even delivers tasty dishes from adjacent restaurants in the area right to your doorstep. Talk about room service.  I almost forget that I was in Paris for business.  “Haute Couture fashion show, Lisa.  Try to stay focused,” I kept telling myself.

Practically kissing distance from the Eiffel Tower, the hotel is right off Avenue Du President Kennedy.  Imagine a major French thoroughfare named after an American president. Yes, for all you Americans who think the French despise American culture. Think again.  Here’s a little secret to understanding Parisians- they love cool sophistication.

Once I got booked into the Hotel Sezz, I settled down to get some work done when my friend from Paris, Veronique, called.  Guess what?  She wanted to shop.  I’m in Paris; okay- Twist my arm!

Now, there is only one way to shop in Paris:  after a couple glasses of champagne.  True to form, Hotel Sezz has this wonderful, quaint champagne bar.  I must confess, after that 3 hour flight, Veuve Clicquot never tasted so good.

Anyway check out the Hotel Sezz if you’re ever in Paris.  It’s very, very chic and brush-up on your French.  You’ll fare better, though the staff is more than willing to accommodate for any of your linguistic deficiencies.

Au revoir diary, time to shop….
