| If September 11th seared itself into the consciousness of the world on that ill-fated day, one can only imagine the impact the day had on the nation's news anchors. "My father called me that morning and told me to turn on the television. The plane had just crashed into the second tower. I dropped the phone and sat on my bed and started crying." With her father's admonition, Heather did pull herself together and made the call to Fox News studios that day. In a few hours she was in front of the camera reporting the sequence of events as they unfolded on September 11, and a teary-eyed nation was glued to their television sets. That's the wonder of Heather Hays: analytical, brainy, empathetic and focused. She has a presence on and off the screen that's unmistakable. Spend a few moments with Heather Hays, and you soon realize you're in the lane of the fast-track to something "big." She's that talented. And with someone like Barbra Walters as her role model... we have no doubt the nation will be tuning in a lot more to Heather Hays. -Alvin Conway Photographs by Angela Robbins
